Founded in 2015 in northern France by Arnaud Poulain, Les Eaux Primordiales blends heritage, innovation, and French savoir-faire to create unforgettable olfactory experiences. Inspired by industrial aesthetics and minimalist design, each fragrance embodies singularity and artistic precision.

Arnaud Poulain was born in Arras in 1986. He grew up in the countryside in a family of artisans. His father, a metalworker, his uncle, a cabinetmaker, and his grandparents, farmers, passed on to him the values of work and artisanal savoir-faire. As a teenager, he developed a passion for science and mechanical engineering. In 2007, he discovered perfumery and it was love at first scent. He then began training in Lens, where he learned the foundations of the perfumer’s craft. During his first olfaction classes, he discovered his olfactory hypersensitivity and met Amélie Bourgeois, who would become his mentor and still supports him today in the technical development of his perfumes.

After extensive experience in independent perfumery, he created Les Eaux Primordiales in 2015. Hyperactive, curious, and demanding, he shows limitless creativity and does not hesitate to challenge the codes of perfumery to offer unforgettable olfactory experiences.

A visionary artist and lover of the earth, he uses his many facets to shape his perfumes like works of art. Inspiration is born from the images that have marked his mind. Childhood reminiscences or emotions felt before a work of art: the perfumer uses his visual memory to bring his olfactory creations to life. Painting, photography, and the emotions that accompany them form an infinite source for his creativity. His constant quest for excellence and authenticity drives him to keep innovating.
